How Can I Ever Thank You Enough?

How Can I Ever Thank You Enough?

Wyatt Elliott (BWP Board Director)

“So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience” (Colossians 3:12) – the Apostle Paul wrote these words and today, they speak to our hearts. Big World Project recently received a letter from one of our leaders in India. She was celebrating the harvest of the garden that you, our donors, made possible over the last year. She said, “It was, is, and will be a great experience to know how to make the best of the rich soil where the garden is now.” As I read her words, I thought of all our partners who obviously possess “a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” I am overwhelmed at every gift given to bless our children at Kesh 8,000 miles away.

Friends, what you give is realized every single morning by groups of children who sit down at a table together and raise their voices to thank the Giver and Sustainer of all and joyfully eat an egg. An egg…we all have a dozen or two in our refrigerator, but without generous donors that purchased chickens, these children would have them only on special days. You are remembered at lunch, as there are now slices of tomatoes and eggplant on the plates alongside the normal helping of rice. They give thanks to God for you at dinner, where there is a beautiful bed of lettuce, serving as a perfect pairing for their curry chicken and rice. Thank you for putting on a heart of compassion.

As we approach the holiday season, gifts always come to mind as we celebrate the “gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8). May I humbly ask you to consider renewing your sponsorship or give a one-time gift to help us establish another dorm to make more room for rescued children? Keep on praying for BWP and be an ambassador for us by encouraging others to sponsor a rescued streetkid for the first time? Your gift does not go to administrative costs, travel expenses or salaries. Your investment goes to rescuing hopeless, hungry, and desperate children off the streets and placing them in a Christ-centered home to be educated, loved, and nurtured. We pray that every child will follow your example by, “Putting on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience” to reach others for Jesus.

Thanks so much for partnering with us.
